Vintage Painted Clay Tulsi Pot
A Tulsi pot is found in the front garden, of every Hindu home in Goa. The plant is worshiped daily, watered each morning and in the evening a lamp may be lit in front of the plant. A thriving Tulsi plant is a sign of a well nurtured home. Shown here sadly without Tulsi.
This pot features handpainted Ganesha, also known as Ganapati, who is one of the most loved and most worshiped deities in the Hindu pantheon. He is revered as the god of wisdom and also the god of new beginnings, remover of obstacles, bestower of favours and granter of success. He is also the patron deity of writers.
